At the recent Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences, held in Fredericton, Dr. Margaret Conrad, Professor Emerita, University of New Brunswick, received the 2011 Society for Digital Humanities/Societé pour l’étude des Media Interactifs Award for Outstanding Achievement, Computing in the Arts and Humanities. The award was in recognition of her work with the Electronic Text Centre in the creation of the Atlantic Canada Portal and the Atlantic Canada Virtual Archives.
